Three treasury shop

Waiting for my post? I wonder how many people really did that.... =P Anyway, it has been a week since my last post here. Actually there is nothing special to share here, so since Ching Ming feastival is at the corner, I share something with closely related to this feastival.

For typical superstitious chinese, I'm sure they knew three treasury shop very well. Hmm.. still in blur? three treasury shop means "三宝店" in chinese. Ching Ming Feastival ma, this shop sure have a busy day with many of the business. This is the only feastival that makes their business live. Once the feastival over, the shop regain its silence again.

Well, you guys sure will ask me, what the hell talking about this shop for the whole post. XD I gonna to relate this shop to me myself. Hmm... one chinese saying "无事不登三宝店".. Sometimes I really felt that people around treating me as this Three Treasury Shop. It is because, for usual day they won't approach me or contact me until they need my help. Sometimes I wonder should I be glad because having some little knowledge or feel sad about it. Maybe I can get more truthful friend if I don't acquire that knowledge. Is really tiring and I really hate this kind of person. Hmm.. this type of person is better still if compared to another type of person.

The second type of person is the kind that I hated more.... Same as first type, they don't contact you when their life is like heaven. When they faced some problem, which need your help, they start to find you. This is still ok.. The most annoying thing is that, they start to praise you like you are their god, for example "You are really my best friend", "You rocks", "You are really good", and etc.. Then right after you helped them, they just dissapear in seconds, and sometimes you can't even contact them as they seems to be vanished in this dimension.

The excuse that they mostly used are like "I scared to disturb you ma.. I know you are busy".. Ironically they doesn't scared to disturb me when they need my help. OMG... :S

These two types of person really annoying. They make me feel that, I live in this world is to used by them only. They are your good friend when needed you, but your stranger when you lost your tangible functionality.

I just hope that those two types of people, stop treating friends like a tools. That's it. Do what a friend should do, and I really hope that you people are my real friends... :) Hehehe.. :P There are some fella that everytime saw his/her message, I 100% sure that they need my help.

Hahaha... after a long post, some of you might feel that I am snobbish... hmm... don't care la... at least I never stop helping them.. disagree? Then don't find me... Hahahaha.... =P Okla... drop down your comment.. come come....

By the way, here to inform you guys, PIKOM PC Fair is coming on April... :)

Pacman - The all time classic

For those who playing computer games since 80s, I'm sure you won't missed out this classic character PacMan. Well, everyone knows how to play it, but anyone knows each character in the game? I've found an journal that explain all the characters in pacman while reading and browsing for gaming algorithm journal.

Here let me explain to you all the character one by one.
Name : Pacman (Main lead, Hero)
Afraid of ghost attack in normal mode. Controlled by player.

Name : Shadow (The red ghost)
It would chase pacman blindly with a trackking algorithm.

Name : Speedy (The pink ghost)
It moves in very fast speed, but it wonders around with the random manner.

Name : Bashful (The blue ghost)
It is a very shy ghost. It will keep on avoid pacman, but it would be fierce if pacman gets near to it.

Name : Pokey (The orange ghost)
It moves in slow speed, same as it sibling Speedy, wonders around with random manner.

So after the explaination, now you know all the ghost actually not chasing after you. In fact there is only one ghost that go after you only. The others just watch your luck. :) Thats all for la...

Pocket PC (Made in Malaysia)

The 1st Malaysia made Pocket PC has been officially launched in 25Jan2006 by Advance Tech Communications Sdn. Bhd. I'm sure you guys excited to know about the technical specs of this Pocket PC, so let us see what so special about it...

Click on the picture to enlarge it

Well lets starts comment from the top. For its OS and CPU, I have no comment about it. Move on to the conectivity, I only can see it is quadband GSM, supports EDGE and GPRS, but I don't see it supports UTMS so I assume that it doens't supports 3G. Oh ya, it has integrated the GPS on this PDA. How great is that...

For the memory, it has integrated 8GB micro drive which I think is more than enough for us to store the whole set of drama into it =P . It also supports memory expansion with the miniSD cards.

For display, I can't find any good reason for having two touch screen display. It just wasting resources and drains battery IMHO. Same goes to its dual 2.0Megapixel camera. The output was great as it has VGA out which means we can use our standard monitor or panel as display. It also means that you able to connect to your LCD projector for your presentation.
Was it a smart move to make dual display and dual camera?

For the audio part, it has the standard 3.5mm audio jack which means you can simply plugin your favorite headset or earpiece, or even your woofer XD~~.

When it comes to dimension and weights, this really turn user down. It was a huge as a brick, and heavy too. I wonder who will feel comfortable using a PDA in this size and weight. This is another disadvantage besides the dual display and dual camera.

Size does matter. I think KingKong would love it.. :P

For the security part, amazingly it uses biometric input for authorization. If I've not mistaken, there is no Pocket PC using such security protection in the past. Correct me if I've wrong.. :P

Look at this... It has biometric input.. (!O.o)

Well, for the data entry, it has QWERTY keyboard, means you can type as usual like you using your keyboard for your pc.

For conclusion, I personally think that this is the good attempt for local company to produce such wonderful PDA, I mean in terms of functionality. The greatest drawback would be the design, size and weight. Perhaps it should be treated as lite version of laptop instead of palm top as I'm sure navigating this PDA on the palm would be very tedious. For me, I won't buy this thing as a PDA because of the size. XD

Before I end my post today, I want to wish Anne 姐姐 and my nice tutor + supervisor, Mr Wong, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!.......

In the pool of journals and technical papers

There are still a pile of journals and technical papers which awaiting me to be read in my computer. It is a real tiring job as I don't really read that much in computer. The most tiring thing is actually 90% of what you've read is not related or irrelevant information for my seminar and final year project.

Here I bought the Cisco book which cost me RM53 (This price you can't get in local bookstores). Hahaha.. might sell it off if I don't plan to go further with networking thingy....

Well, take a break and crap around in the internet here... Hahaha... Oh ya, I got somthing to share with you guys... 校园superstar video clip. XD For those who have been watching this, I'm sure you know who is Teresa. This is some clips of her during her performance.

When I checking my mail, I came across with this national car PROTON, SatriaCabriolet.

What is your comment about this? I think the price sure will be above the existing Satria GTi, unless the SatriaCabriolet roof doesn't use any electronic mechanism to operate. For foriegn car, I know is impossible the manufacture to gave up the electronic mechanism, but for Proton, don't be surprise if they did gave it up. This is because they still came out new cars with winding windows till now. From the picture the interior looks cheap also. Who don't agree with me? XD Hmm... I think this thing still have some value if it is tunned by Lotus as GTi did...

CCNA course PART I

Today is our first lesson for the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) class in our new Network Lab in Block X. There were few lab there and each lab was completed with 24 + 1 units of IBM desktop computer which using Intel Pentium4 3.2GHz running Hyperthreading. Each pc consist of 3 Network Adapters which few is 1Gbps instead of 100Mbps. The whole lab cost about RM1Million, and you can know that Cisco product are real expensive. Hmm.. since the lab is so expensive, guess how much we need to pay for the class? We get it for FREE!!! so we are told to appreciate it.... XD

The first day nothing much to do except for making the RJ45 network cable. In this session, we learned to make Straight-through cable and Cross-over cable.

The way to arrange the wire for Straight-through cable

The way to arrange the wire for cross-over cable

We divided into 2 people in a group, each person do one cable. So I did the cross-over cable. After clipped the RJ45 connector to the cable, tested with the testor and found ok, which is no problem. Then my friend compare mine with his cable, found out that my cable was opposite to what they did. Then I was like, "aiya, nevermind la... see if it works on pc or not.. if not then only redo"... Then during testing on pc, we found out that only mine works... XD This meaning that I accidentally did the right thing and they did the wrong thing... So funny... Hahaha... They all "sien diao"....

Thats all for today class la... :P
